1Create the webhook in Slack

In Slack, open Apps, Incoming Webhooks, add one to the channel you want, and copy the URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/.

2Connect it

In app.blipit.io, open Integrations, choose Slack, paste the URL, pick a project or all projects and tick new issues and/or regressions. Owners and admins can do this; the URL is masked after saving because it works like a password.

3What arrives

A message per alert with the issue title, project, level, environment and release, and a link to the issue. Uptime monitors post when they go down and when they recover. Security alerts post on the Scale plan.

Good to know

• Delivery is https only, redirects are not followed, and the last delivery status shows next to the channel.
• If the webhook is revoked in Slack, remove the channel and add a new one; Blipit cannot repair it.
