Install an Incoming Webhook or a Workflows URL

Teams accepts Blipit alerts through either the classic Incoming Webhook connector or a Workflows (Power Automate) flow that posts to a channel. Both give you a URL; Blipit sends an Adaptive Card to it.

1Get a URL from Teams

Incoming Webhook: channel menu, Connectors, Incoming Webhook, give it a name and copy the URL (host ends in webhook.office.com). Workflows: Workflows, 'Post to a channel when a webhook request is received', copy the HTTP POST URL (host ends in logic.azure.com, or a /workflows/ path on azure.com or powerplatform.com). Other hosts are refused.

2Connect it

Integrations, Microsoft Teams, paste the URL, choose the project scope and which alerts. Owners and admins only.

3What arrives

New issues, regressions, security alerts and monitor down/up as a card with project, event count, level, environment, release and an Open in Blipit button.

Good to know

  • Requests time out after 5 seconds and go through the same private-address guard as webhooks.
  • Microsoft has retired Office 365 connectors in some tenants; use the Workflows route there.
