Logs page

Sending logs is covered under Send more. Once they arrive, the Logs page lists the newest lines, tails them live, and filters by project, level, service, time range and text.

1Filter

Project, level (fatal, error, warn, info, debug, trace), service, time range (15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days) and message text (substring search). The page shows 100 lines at a time with Load older.

2Live tail

The list refreshes every 5 seconds until you pause it. A line opens to show its full message, environment, attributes and a link to its trace when it carries a trace_id.

3Allowance

The header shows this month's log bytes against the plan allowance and the retention. Once the allowance is used up new batches are dropped until next month and a notice appears; nothing is billed.

Good to know

  • Allowance per month: Free 1 GB, Solo 5 GB, Team 20 GB, Scale 100 GB, counted as stored JSON bytes.
  • Retention: 3 days on Free, 14 on Solo, 30 on Team and Scale.
  • Levels warning, err, critical and panic are read as warn, error, fatal and fatal.
