Install Blipit Error Monitoring on the Odoo Apps store

The Blipit module catches every Python traceback and JavaScript error in your Odoo, lists the issues inside Odoo, and knows the user, request and company. Each database connects to its own project with a secret key.

1Install the module

Download it from apps.odoo.com (blipit_monitor, free) for your Odoo version and install it like any module: Apps, Update Apps List, install Blipit Error Monitoring. Odoo Online does not allow third-party apps; Odoo.sh and on-premise do.

2Connect

Settings, Blipit: paste the project's secret key, tick the agreement to the Terms and the module licence, and press Save. It connects on its own and shows Connected to <project>. A public key or a key already bound to another database is refused with the reason.

3People in charge

Pick who gets emailed, per company if you have several. Each person takes one seat of your plan; Blipit checks the count when you save.

4Check it works

Open the Blipit app in Odoo. The next error shows up there and in the people in charge's inbox. Click Refresh from Blipit to check straight away.

Good to know

  • One key per database. A restored copy of production carries production's identity and is refused until it gets its own; give it a new database.uuid and its own project.
  • Login monitoring (Scale plan) reports failed, blocked and successful sign-ins, never the password.
  • What changed in each version: blipit.io/changelog.
